Danke wieder.
If anyone lives in Austria, I'm looking for photos of two apartment buildings in austria. I had family living there before and during WWII.

Jon Ellwood was killed in the Bali bombing
Any ex-VISer's who remember the 80's...
Dr. Ellwood's Son Jonathan, and her daughter Totty, both went to VIS in the mid through late 80's.
I just found out today that Jon was killed in the Bali bombing a couple of years ago. Totty wrote a book ...
The Crystal Spirit: My Bali Diary
Shortly after 11pm on 12 October 2002, two bombs devastated the popular nightlife area of Kuta on the paradise island of Bali, Indonesia, killing more than 200 people.
Among them was Jonathan Ellwood, an international school teacher, who had just arrived to attend a conference.
With no clear information available his sister Totty, a teacher in Malaysia, immediately went to Bali to find out what had happened to him. There, amidst the confusion, she was met by unflagging support from local volunteers, unending red tape and British officialdom's inability to get to grips with the catastrophe.
This is her story.
The author(s): Totty Ellwood
Other books in the series: No other titles in the series
£12.95 ISBN: 0-901577-97-9
It's out of print, and I can't seem to find any used copies on line, either. If anyone has a copy of this book, or knows where I can get one, please email me.

Thanks for the community.
I liked VIS the first time I saw it in 2002, I am sure I will deal with VIS graduates in future, with people I know and love. It is a balanced and peaceful school in my mind.
I'll stay in touch and all.
Current Mood: happy
All the best.

Oh my goodness! I can't believe there is a blog for this!!
In 1993-1995 my family went to this school.. 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and me. I only got to go for one year because I was in kindergarten and we had to move (I am in 11th grade now, but I should be in 10th, I skipped a grade after coming to America from AIS's superior schooling), but that was the most AWESOME school ever! I love Wien!
I know most people that went to that school didn't get to stay for all 14 (preschool-12th grade) years, but if ANY SOPHOMORE was in Ms. Ruster's 1994-1995 kindergarten class... we need to talk. ;-) Current Mood: giddy
